The Fort Lauderdale Stache Bash 2012 was a fundraising event to benefit Florida Atlantic University’s graduating graphic design students. Because the event was hosted by design students, the invitation needed to be tasteful and trendy to appeal to college students and young professionals. A variety of typefaces and colors were carefully chosen to develop a fun & whimsical voice while also retaining a classy, dignified tone. Breaking up the text into sections makes it easy and fun to read. This style references the lost art of letterpress typography which has recently been resurrected among artists and designers. (2012)
I believe in communicating efficiently by establishing a visual personality whose voice is heard long before the content of the message can even be accessed.
I primarily use the medium of typography to organize the content of the message logically while conveying it with visual elegance and integrity.
